From Suzanne Bartington’s facebook page and her page on Witney Town Council’s website, 7 May 2017.

“I grew up in West Oxfordshire, attending Charlbury Primary School, Burford Secondary School and completing A-level studies at Abingdon and Witney College. I have lived in Witney for the past decade, after completing medical training at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and postgraduate training at Imperial College London. In my professional career I have worked in NHS hospital medicine and General Practice and am completing training to become a Public Health Consultant. I have a commitment to national and international health policy, with current research projects in Nepal and China.

Since my election as a Town Councillor in Witney East Ward in May 2015, I have engaged with residents to identify priority issues and tackle strategic challenges. My policy interests include the provision of high quality and accessible health and social care services and I am a committed advocate for sustainable development and active travel.

I am an active volunteer for Cogges Heritage Trust, and co-opted Member of Madley Park Residents’ Association. In my leisure time I enjoy outdoor pursuits including hiking and mountaineering.”

Suzanne was elected as County Councillor for Witney North & East Division on 4 May 2017.
