A short – and quiet – week this week. I’m taking Christmas off so here’s your round-up of local news for 19 – 23 December. The next Headington Headlines will be on New Year’s Eve. A Merry Christmas to everyone!
The Energy Project pipelaying in Latimer Road and All Saints/Lime Walk has finished in time for the Christmas break. The contractors will be starting again on 3 January …
… and work on the Access to Headington project at the Gipsy Lane/Old Road/Warneford Lane/Roosevelt Drive junction is suspended until 3 January, but the four-way traffic lights will stay in place.
The headington.org.uk website has a useful list of the Christmas and New Year opening times of Headington’s supermarkets.
Fancy a local job where you get out, meet people and manage your own time? There’s a vacancy for a Meter Reader in Headington, ca. £18k pa.
My favourite Headington-related tweet of the week:
#OUHEnergy Thank you Headington residents for kind words, co-operation & patience. Merry Christmas and, as Arnie said: “I’ll be back…’ pic.twitter.com/0r7Eh4uINq
