Headington Headlines #241

Here’s my weekly round-up of local news for 16 – 22 November.

The top end of Kennett Road was closed for a time on Tuesday night because of fears about the stability of the scaffolding on Kennett House in storm Barney’s high winds. The road was open again by Wednesday morning. Barney blew a branch off a tree in The White Horse car park, damaging at least one car.

Skipton Building Society is celebrating the first anniversary of its arrival in Headington with an open day on 15 December. The Lord Mayor will be there (not all the time), and all are welcome.

Work on the JR – Churchill heatpipe is pressing ahead. Read more details on the e-democracy forum.
